FAQ

Please RSVP by the 30th of April 2026.

To get acclimated to Quito’s altitude, we recommend arriving on Thursday prior to the wedding. If you arrive earlier, we are happy to help recommend additional activities to explore Quito or Ecuador.

Yes — please don’t forget sunscreen! Quito sits at nearly 3,000 m above sea level, which means the sun is very strong even on cooler days. We recommend bringing sunglasses, a hat, and SPF to stay comfortable while exploring.

Since Quito is located right on the equator, the temperature stays fairly consistent all year round! Daytime highs are typically around 18-26°C, and nighttime lows around 7–9°C. We recommend packing light layers so you stay comfortable throughout the day.

We have reserved a room block at selected hotels. Please mention “Julia Schanz & Roberto Jara” while booking to receive our reduced rate or use the links below.

Please note that hotels will be at high occupancy during our wedding dates as an event is taking place in Quito at the same time.
